At auction the Pinkuah Arms reached £182,000 in the residential sale at Allsops on 18th December 2012. A group from the village was bidding to own the pub but the price exceeded their maximum. Any change of use from a Public House will be opposed locally and by the District Council. A 'Community Right to Bid' was lodged with Braintree Council prior to the auction but the Auctioneers chose not to disclose this before the auction took place. The successful bidder has not revealed either who they are or what they want to do with the pub! Further news will follow when we discover what the purchaser intends.
